If Rigo fights and beats Mares, where would you rank him in the Top 10 P4P? Think about it;Wins over not one, but TWO top 10 P4P fighters in Donaire and Mares.

    1 or 2.

Mayweather is usually given no.1 because of the quality of his PERFORMANCE. But Rigo too is a master. I'm more inclined to say Mayweather get's no.1 spot.

I just couldn't agree with Rigo being behind Ward.

If Floyd retired sometime after Rigo beats Mares, I'd put Rigo at #1.

But if he beats Mares, he's a clear top 3-5.

First of all why is Rigo considered to be in most peoples top 10 p4p list and Mares is not?

Rigo has literally one good win while Mares has about 3-4 straight years of top notch wins.

BTW I think Mares beats Rigo.

2 I'd suspect, I'd be tempted to put him at 1 but its difficult to argue him over Floyd at this stage

    1. Ward's inactive
    2. Floyd never fights guys who have a chance of winning

He'd have to be up there, creeping ahead of Andre Ward imho.

Rigondeaux would box Mares' ears off. He already beat him clearly in the amateurs.

To answer the OP, I would have him at #3 or maybe even #2 if he beat Mares decisively.

When Mares was 17? He isn't even the same fighter he was in 2010, much less 2003.
