he's slightly less boring because at some points he'll try to walk the opponent down

Rigo will fight the entire night on the backfoot against an overmatched bum averaging 3 punches per round, he's terrible

The two have different styles. I personally find Mayweather fights more entertaining than Rigo fights. Rigo fights a more amatuerish style.

There's not much difference in the 'excitement' they bring in terms of what most fans generally expect, floyd gets more viewers because he has a lot of american fans and knows how to sell himself, rigo doesn't. It also doesn't help that he's in a much lower weight class in terms of how many people tune in.

More people will pay to watch Floyd than will watch Rigo for free.

One guy cares about maximizing his name value and ratings. One doesn't. Simple as that.

I get excited to see them both fight, but I find if you are the type who likes showing people boxing who wouldnt be watching it without your aid, you should STRONGLY avoid rigo fights.....From a purist take, hes quite dynamic, and I do find some of his fights entertaining. From a boxing fan who enjoys high action/drama, hes your worst nightmare. Floyd however has a **** ton of charisma to go with his fighting style, and will actually at times try to track guys down and be the bigger fighter. Contrary to what some people think on this board, Floyd doesnt ever really slug it out (one or two rounds in a cotto fight doesnt make him a slugger) but he is the type of figure in the sport that not just asks, but demands you respect his style that it's easier on the eyes.
I think one of the main reasons there is such a gap between the two is because people realize they are watching an all time great in Floyd.
