If Rigondeaux had fought someone like Salido in his second pro fight?

Rigo is great fighter but fighting someone like Siri in a second fight is arrogant and stupid. Rigo had a tough close fight with Cordoba and learn a lot from it. If he was fighting Siri that night he was getting outpointed to a wide UD IMAO. In his second fight he might've gotten KOed. There is a reason managers build even very talented fighters.

yes well at this present time there are other threads that need this exact same reply. like the one demanding floyd fight at 160.? lol

salido cheated on the scales, low blowed all night and scraped by with a close decision ? and the ammount of holding in the 12th was just disgusting... the hbo team were almost throwing up at how terrible that fight was refed

salido may have won the fight but i think lomanchenko won the respect and he is def a better fighter

The amount of holding by Loma in rounds 1-10 was equally disgusting.

The fight was a farce as soon as it was scheduled to be in Texas. Salido had everything going his way this fight, he was a super featherweight fighting a featherweight who has 1 professional fight, what more could he ask for?. The hometown advantage would have been enough considering the British-like corruption in Texas for Mexican fighters. Lomachenko's entire team are a disgrace for going through with this fight after the weigh-in and they deserve what came to them. Not only were they stupid enough to accept Texas but they also accepted the fight despite Salido's failure to make weight. This may sound silly but this looks like a conspiracy to me. Arum isn't stupid to fall for this mistakenly, things were signed the way they were for a reason.

Can't be nearly as disgusting and shameless as a super featherweight cheating and fighting dirty against a featherweight with one professional fight.

OMG I tried to tell people that Lomachenko was good but not that good, Rigo is on a different level in skill and in one fight rigo would have beat salido,

easily, aswell if you followed boxing toledo beat lomachenko comfortably in london, but becasue lomachenko was the am superstar he got the nod!

THeres a huge difference in the way the boxers are schooled in cuba and ukraine,

I honestly feel that lomachenko would have lost to toledo in the WSB over 5 rounds and to lazaro alvarez who would outbox him, john jo nevin and luke campbell could also beat him!

Breaking the rules is breaking the rules. Lomachenko doesn't get any extra leeway for the number of fights he's had nor what he agreed to about the weight once he steps in the ring. Ultimately he fought dirty by grabbing like crazy against an opponent who fought dirty as well.

When will fools understand that there is a HUGE difference between the AMs and the pros. In the AMs Siri would not stand a chance against either Loma or Rigo. The pros are a whole new world and it is the subtle things that make a world of difference.

Laurence Cole's performance just flat out sucked. That being said, in spite of Loma's apparent inability to handle pressure and a consistent (and sometimes illegal) body attack, I still had him up at the end. I'm not gonna say it was a robbery, since there were a number of close rounds that could easily have swung to Salido, but I got the impression that in a rematch, Loma would do far better throughout the entire contest now that he knew what to expect.

Thing is Rigo mostly cruises through fights

If he was against Salido and was losing I think he would step it up, no way Salido would ever beat him

Rigo is a COMPLETELY different fighter than Vasyl. Maybe he doesn't have a crowd pleasing style, but as a pure boxing pugilist, I could see him cruising to a UD against orlando.

The majority of Salido's shots, especially those looping shots would never even come close to Rigo.

Styles make fights, and Rigo's style is just bad for the majority of fighters in and around his weight division.
