If Rigondeaux had fought someone like Salido in his second pro fight?

You know, for some reason nobody is mentioning this.

He received his SECOND warning in the mid rounds for clinching too much, and he continued to do so for another 3 rounds without the ref deducting a point from him.

Anyway, I had it 7-4-1 for Salido and I'm glad he didn't get the short end of the stick against a guy that Top Rank obviously is investing a lot of time and money on to become their next big star.

Not wise to compare Loma To Rigo. They are miles apart.
That being said, Rigo would have very likely beaten Saildo in his FIRST pro fight.

Rigo wasn't going to beat a champion with that kind of weight advantage and homefield advantage in his second fight.

First, there aren't many like Rigo.
Second, Rigo's team would have say "**** YOU ALL, I AM GOING HOME" right at the weight in .

Rigondeaux doesn't rehydrate much. He would have been outweighed by 20 pounds. He is also only 5'3. That being said, he would have outboxed Salido, playing the matador to the bull. Rigondeaux also would have fouled back when fouled.

They were all too scared to fight him like Nonito "he's not in my league" Donaire.

Rigo woulda schooled Salido even in his first pro-fight, he is a legend and an ATG-fighter.
Lomachenko is just not as good as some of us thought he is and his amateur-pedigree suggested, at least not yet.
    End of the story.

Fighting a guy like Salido is a bad move for anyone in their 2nd fight. I don't think Rigo would have done much better in the same circumstances.
