This is all based off of one victory against Nonito Donaire. Let the guy have a couple more fights before jumping to conclusions.

He said it was a good learning experience, indicating if anything that he got schooled.

Let's be honest, Nonito is the best and Mares can't beat him.

Mares is probably a whisker better than Guerrero. Rigo will beat Mares.

    A couple of things;

    1) He perfected his craft in ams in Cuba . . . coming to the USA earlier he might have got the Abril treatment early on in his career.

    2) While i think he is great, and a P4P fighter, he has yet to prove himself against all styles of fighters in the pro ranks. what happens when he gets into the ring with a heavy hitter that has a rock for a head and is willing to take four shots to land one. I think people tend to focus to much on record rather than skill in the ring but you have to prove something at the highest level to be considered the best.

Right now, Mayweather is clearly the best P4P fighter in the ring. in the next couple of years I see it being a battle between Ward and Rigo for that title followed by guys like Canelo, Broner, M. Garcia, and gamboa . . . Nanito is not a complete write off he could still climb the ranks again

Well Floyd aint gonna be around for too long. And rigo doesn't seem like a guy who blows up inbetween fights. I think Rigo will be p4p king soon.

    What stupid logic.

Then the top would constantly change after every big fight.

Going pro after his second Olympic gold would have probably been probably ideal, maybe around 2005, since he didn't get to Olympics in 2008 those years from 2004/5 to 2009 seem a little wasted, even though he was winning amateur bouts in that time.

If Rigo became pro at 22-23 right now in 2013 he would be 5'4" 250lbs.

Don't be mad. At least Rigo would still be a slick fighter. He'd be like a ball of grease the Klitschko punches would just slide off him.

Very good assessment. One great win doesn't make you p4p king. You need to consistently beat top opposition and different type of styles.

Yeah and that's why the ref raised Floyd's hands before the announcement you blind hater because he knew in his heart also that Floyd won that

    Deal with it. :deal

You're probably one of those ******s who thought Park Si Hun beat Roy Jones.

I'm a fan of Floyd but he lost to a better man that night. There is nothing in common with Park Si Hun fight.

Agreed, there is no doubt in my mind.If he had that many bouts he would've been fought huge threats like pac,Tszyu, morales, barrera,Sergio's(especially if they were same size). He'd make Floyd career look like cake work.

Hopefully he can add mares, salido,Mikey, ponce maybe even gamboa to his resume & anybody else who's willing to step.Only ppl see giving him trouble is Garcia & salido,I never count siri out he's tough son of a *****.
