If RJJ fights and beats B-Hop it looks good for Calzaghe

He won't have just beaten a old shell of Roy Jones but one who went on to beat the P4P#3. That will look good on his resume, as will if Kessler goes on to do big things in the tournament and after. The Lacy win credability is diminishing day by day, but he was dangerous before the surgery. I don't know about any of other Joe's opponents, but Bika could achieve somethings, if given the chance. I wish he had replaced Taylor, that would be more interesting IMO. Bika vs Abraham sounds great.

    Why???

Taylor beat Hopkins 3-4 years before Joe got to him, and Taylor lost to Pavlik.

I still think Pavlik would have been a mare for JOe as he throws a straight right with power. Joe was Knocked down by Jones an Bhop who are both non punchers at this stage of their careers

Either way it looks good for Calzaghe. It looks great for Calzaghe right now that his biggest wins are against guys that are still in the big picture right now.

total lack of boxing knowledge. power is the last this to leave a fighter and neither jones or B-hop were ever branded feather fisted or average puncher.s B-hop was quite the wrecking machine in his younger days

Pavlik's straight right is a very different punch than either the way Hopkins or Jones throw theirs. He is also not as crafty as either of those two veterans. Bad comparison.

Pavlik throws with no skill. Calzaghe getting knocked down by Jones was a fluke, Roy hit Joe with his forearm, not his glove.

If Roy Jones beats B-Hop wouldn't that look bad for Calzaghe?
I mean, B-Hop is Calzaghe's best win and in many's opinion, an undeserved one at that.
If Roy beats him clearly, then it makes Calzage's struggle with the old guy seem bad.
On the other hand if B-Hop beats Jones, I guess the same applies, except that Clazaghe's victory over Jones was a thorough one.

What Calzaghe REALLY needs is for B-Hop and Roy Jones to like never lose again and defeat lots of good fighters. Either of them losing put them closer to the end of their shelf life and Joe (to look better) would want their end by date to be as far away from their fights with him as possible.
