If Rocky fought Charles, Louis, and Walcott in their primes does it go the same way?

Walcott is generally considered by even most Louis fans to have won the first one.

The point is, Louis had bad nights against lesser fighters. He was great, but mortal. It hasn't got anything to do with the age of Marciano's opponents.

I think Charles gets him tbh. I agree about Walcott

Based on how close older versions of Charles and Walcott made it, I think at least one loss out of four is a reasonable assumption. It should be said, though, that old as Walcott was he did come off his best wins. Charles's record showed clear signs of him declining, though.

Have you seen the complete Walcott v Louis 1 st fight or only the few highlights?
If you've seen the complete fight you must be about120 years old.

And? Not one of them have seen the fight. The longest version available shows 16 minutes of fighting. That's 30% of the entire affair. I go with the official scorecards of the people who actually saw the fight.
Perhaps Walcott edged it, but if we reverse this close decision we might as well reverse Rocky's decisions against Lastarza and Charles, and suddenly his rating plummets.

So did basically every single heavyweight. Marciano's crude slugging style just wasn't the one to counter Louis' power-counter punching skillet.

Also, in their second fight, it's said that Charles just couldn't bring himself to finish Marciano off when Marciano got struck in the nose and was bleeding profusely. May have to do with Charles having killed Sam Baroudi years prior, and tailoring his style to be less aggressive after being haunted by Sam's death. Just an assumption, we'll never know for sure, but it does leave room for one to wonder... could Charles have KO'd Rocky if he hadn't killed Sam years before and had just let loose everything he had?

Charles scored 17 kos after the Baroudi match. It wasn't a factor.

Yeah, you may be right. Rocky was just the toughest cookie of the 50's, even given his physical disadvantages. Given what you said, I change my mind and say that Ezzard would win a UD (or an MD at worst), but a knockdown is slim considering he didn't have Rocky seriously hurt (of course, aside from the nose gash which could've been due to an accidental elbow blow, so that's out of the picture.)

Yeah Charles could take a decision from Rocky. He came very close to it when he was clearly past it.

Louis is bad for Marciano, and Marciano was bad for Louis. ( ;) ) I'd give Louis a 3/5ths chance to take 2 outa 3 off Marciano, and Rocky a 2/5ths chance the other way.
Walcott's title defense saw an exceptionally slow start from Rocky and, on a couple occasions , Marciano was troubled by cut (or possibly 'cut-cures') giving Walcott both opportunities to exploit and a rare opportunity (for Marciano opponents) to catch second winds. Ultimately he got a bit took cute, tried a chancy left feint-right, and got K'dtfO when Rocky's right - by hapstance or design - got inside his timing. I think (relatively) younger Walcott's going to have to have a very perfect (perfectly wise) night, as well as some imperfection from Marciano, to pull off a W.
First challenge Charles crowded and close-countered Marciano in the first third of their fight, effective but tiring. There after it was Charles skill versus Marciano's assault on his stamina and durability, resulting in a hard fought Marciano win. I'd favor a younger Marciano over Charles (in 15) but not greatly, and the issue might lay in the eye of the beholder.
An interesting question is Marciano first meeting prime Walcott or Charles at, say, ten rounds, as they position to become outstanding challengers to (priming) Louis.

This is pretty astonishing. You are pretty good at looking up what public opinion on fights was when it serves your purposes, but you can't be bothered to do it here.

You really are something else, my friend.

But lesser styles did so..that's the point.

And Marciano's style wasn't crude. It was alternative....designed to make his short size and advantage. I have posted the quotes dozens of times in which a plethora of fighters talk about how hard it was to defend, and how hard he was to hit clean.
