if roy beats joe where would you put him in your top 5 p4p fighters of all time

h2h prime id have him in the top 10 as he was near untouchable in his prime but not top 10 of alltime overall based on resume,acheivements&so on:good

i just hate bull**** like this, if you know anything about boxing u need to give that man his due. his first loss came at the age of 35 these dudes finally knockd him off his throne at 35, and all of a sudden he's not even in yo top 25? - Pound-for-pound world no1 for several years in total

- The Ring Fighter of the Year 1994

- Resume includes wins over ATG Bernard Hopkins, ATG and p4p#2 at the time James Toney, WBA heavyweight champion John Ruiz, and further good wins v Montell Griffin (KO1), Virgil Hill (KO4), Antonio Tarver (W12) and Mike McCallum (W12)


If you say there are 25 fighters whose combined ability and achievement beat that, please name them.

i recognise he was an unbelieveable talent,but in winning titles in 4 divisions and being p4p no.1 for years he only beat 2 great fighters one of which was way before his prime.he fought an nyc cop for ****s sake.im not saying he ducked loads of fighters but there are some he could have pushed to face but didnt,nor am i saying anyone would have beaten him because im fairly certain they wouldn't have but there's only one place to prove it.

 

u have to put joe in the top five because he is still undefeated has held down a title for more than 10 years, and u need 2 look at rapsheet. at the least, top 10 but if he can beat jones, pavlik, and if he ever appears again in the ring again, taylor he's gotta b in the top 5

 

normally when i try and rank fighters i usually give more weight to resume but with roy i give equal weighting to his skills, talent and H2H ability. I just don't think there are many (if any) fighters from 160-175 who i favour over him in his prime. He's already top 15 for me but a win over joe would easily put him top 10.

 

I categorically agree with you. I'm really sick of people underrating Jones just because he lost a few times after being undefeated for 15 years through 5 divisions (basically started at 154). People suck!! They only remember the most recent ****, and forget the past. How the **** can someone forget 15 years of dominance? He's easily top 10 P4P all time now, and top 5 if he beats Calzaghe (who himself is very underrated). Anybody who thinks that if they were the same size that Pacquiao would beat Calzaghe is a ****in ******.
