Tough to say he left before some really talented fighters took charge in that division

There have been many very good fighters since Jones moved up hard to say he would beat all of them without losing

 

Every fighter claims weight problems when they lose a fight... and a prime Jones would have given any version of Hopkins hell.... those of you who think Calzaghe would've beaten a prime RJJ are delusional... even Calzaghe has admitted as much in his book.

Yep, once he lost his speed he was done. Moving up against slower opposition at light heavyweight and Heavyweight bought him a few extra years. Awesome in his prime.

 

Calzaghe would have demanded a fight and then Roy would duck by moving to 175.

 

When he fought Benn, Eubank, McClellen, Calzaghe, Collins (SMW version),

 

Everybody can lose

 

Roy was one of a kind. Talent like that dont come around often

 

benn or the g man would of been hard fights for him. McClellan even beat him in the amateurs

 

if jones would have stayed at 168 they would have made a 167 lb division for calzaghe.
