How much of a drastic impact would it make upon his legacy in your eyes? Keep in mind that I'm not saying he would beat Calzaghe if they do fight soon -- I think him even lasting the full 12 rounds with Calzaghe would be tough in itself, considering his current workrate and utter decline. I'd bet on Calzaghe to stop him at this point. But if he did do it, against common sense/logic..how would you think of him?
I don't have any interest in JC vs RJJ at all unless Roy beats some serious contenders at 168-175lbs who are not retired and belong several weight divisions south
It would be huge for Roy if he were to beat Calzaghe and retire. People would remember his wins over Trinidad and Calzaghe more than the 2 devestating knockout losses. And he would probably be ranked in the top 15 ever.
A win over Calzaghe at this stage in Jones' career would definitely restore a lot of the lost luster and return Jones to discussions of the top twenty - thirty all time great fighters.
:???: Many allready have Jones in the top twenty-thirty range. I think if and thats a big if Roy beat Joe C, especially after what happened to Roy and how much of an underdog he would be in a fight with Joe C, I think it would be one of his greatest accomplishments, he would have an amazing resume also Toney, Hops, Trinidad (yes i no), Ruiz MW-HW, and Joe C, that would be a very very solid resume, thats 4 fighters that are solid top 100 ATG's. I couldn't see placing him anywhere lower than 20
