No, Conn was tougher with faster feet. Jones get stopped early.

Jones would not be ready for Louis's handspeed, power and heart IMO.

Louis late KO or mid KO, depending on how aggressive he wants to be

That being said, I rank RJJ higher than Conn p4p, with RJJ being somewhere 30-20 and Conn being somewhere 50-40

RJJ was perhaps faster than Conn and hit harder. He'd make trouble for Louis. But Louis finds him eventually and stops him by KO

It's curtains for Louis... Conn didn't have half the speed jones had... Jones stops him around the 12th

One of the punches that caught Conn early on that he shook of would have pulverized Jones...leaving him on his back with that familiar "legs crossed" position.

The casual fans who think every fighter from this era or before would beat modern fighters will tell you that Roy Jones Jr is too small or something stupid. Billy Conn was natural a 160 to 170 pound guy. Roy Jones Jr was a natural 160-170 pound guy. Billy Conn wasn't a big puncher even for his natural weight class. Roy Jones Jr was a big puncher for his natural weight class. Roy Jones Jr was 10 times as fast and as skilled as Conn. If Conn could out boxer Louis and hurt him then Roy Jones Jr would do it more easy.

Either Roy Jones Jr would just use his speed to win every round or he would rock Louis and put him away in the mid to late rounds.

Oh YES BRUTHA! Preach it to these nonbelievers. Louis with hisprimitive skills would have no chance against Rapid Roy. Shheeeeeit. Roy beat Vinny PAZ! Why Paz is toough!! He beat Duran easily TWICE. And Roy played with him!! Joe Louis would be mystified and demoralized. Jeez! Rapid Roy beat JOHN RUIZ!! He beat Holyfield TWICE!!!!!! Louis would be mesmerized and antagonized as Mr Jones played wiffle ball early on the day of the fight.!!!! I bet slow talkin' slow walkin' Louis ain't even got a rap to sing on the way to the ring. Jones has ROOSTERS!!!!! You don't see no slow Joe Louis doing a rooster move. Joe will be beat before the first bell.
