What if Roy Jones retired after beating Ruiz in 2003? Where would he rank all-time? -Wins over Hopkins, Toney, Griffin, Hill and Ruiz -First fighter since Bob Fitzsimmons to win titles from MW to HW -Only fighter to start career at JMW and win a HW title

Legacy-wise, he should have retired after Ruiz. He didn't, and instead, he came back down to 175 for Tarver and beat him. A good win. But the margin in that one should have told him his superhuman days were over. That should have been it ! As it is, I rank him just inside or just outside of the top 10 all-time. In his prime circa 1994 -2003, head to head, I would pick him over anyone in the history of the sport at 168 or 175.
