If you're going to draw comparisons with Ruiz and Klitschko, which I don't agree with, then you would have to say that if Haye landed the right hand which put Ruiz down in the first round, Wlad would get knocked out.

No doubt Wlads jab is quicker and much more powerful than Ruiz, but Wlads style is made for Haye imo.

And i think he will avoid the jab and counter with a straight right or the left hook without to much problem. Maccarenelis jab is quicker than Wlads and he couldnt touch Haye with it.

    Prime Ruiz might beat Haye.

The only comparison I'm making directly between the two fighters, is that if an old washed up Ruiz can land the jab, so will Wladimir.

Wlad has never been truly knocked out. Even when Wlad has went down, he has ALWAYS got up. So no, I do not believe that a punch that put Ruiz down (and that he got up from) would have KO'd Wladimir. Haye would have to punch significantly harder than Peter, Sanders, or Brewster...I don't believe he does.

Then if you're putting wlad in the same shoes of Ruiz then how about you have Wlad take that right cross from Ruiz in the first round and see how he does :lol:

On the flip side of the OP's argument if Haye lands bombs like he did on Ruiz on Wlad what will happen?

Well do you think Wlad is going to fight exactly as Ruiz? with the holding and hitting and just charging in with a shotgun jab? I don't think so. Wlad is going to be fighting different then Ruiz.

well in the 1st few rounds of their 2nd fight peter had some success in slipping wlads jab. haye is considerably better at slipping punches than peter, so it works both ways. Wladimir is the superior boxer and i favour him to win the fight but the better boxer isn't a dead cert to win the fight. especially when this fight involves two power punchers with shaky chins :good

It's no secret that David has no defense.

    Of course he does.

You know what started the ridiculous hype about Peter's power and earned him, absurdly, the ESPN prosperct of the year award? The same thing which fans have considered for 7 years and has never been replicated - The Jeremy Williams knockout. He's a clubbing puncher, sure, but he has no technique or speed. He has raw power and that's it. No way is he a better or even harder puncher than Haye. Peter could have 5 fights with John Ruiz now and he wouldn't hurt him once. He has three feathers in his cap. The Williams knockout, which has proven to be a fluke, knocking Wlad down several times and stopping Maskaev. That's it.

Sanders had decent power but who was the best fighter he stopped apart from Wlad? A shot De Leon? Come on. He's a completely overrated puncher. There's no case for him being one, when you look at his record.

And Brewster is like Peter. A good puncher, yes, and the hardest hitter of the three, but still not as hard as Haye. Too many fighters took too many clean shots and didn't go down from him.

I think you know this though. After the fight, you'll either be saying "Wlad beat Haye, who is a very hard hitter, the hardest puncher in the division" or "Haye knocked Wlad out, sure, but he's the hardest hitting fighter out there".

Wladimir is not the same fighter today, that he was 7+ years and 17 fights ago. He's improved in every area.
I believe even many of the "haters" would agree with this, whether they want to admit it here or not.

I don't think I'll be saying either one of those. I do believe Haye hits hard, no doubt. I just don't think it's as hard as many people make it out to be...that's all.

Corey thinks Wlad will beat Haye.

Former heavyweight champion Corrie Sanders, the man who knocked out Wladimir Klitschko in two rounds in 2003 and was later knocked out by older brother Vitali in eight rounds in 2004, thinks WBA heavyweight champion David Haye is not big enough to beat Wladimir.

He thinks Haye is good boxer, like Wladimir but not big enough to pose a threat to Wladimir, and Sanders is not confident about Haye's ability to take punches from Klitschko. Sanders weiged an average of 230-pounds with 6'4 in height and 77-inches in reach. Haye weighs an average of 217-pounds with 6'3 in height and 78-inches in reach. Sanders and Haye are similiar in size. Sanders was not as defined as the muscular Haye but he was a deadly puncher with a very strong chin.

"I think Haye is too small for him. He's a good boxer but he's not a big heavyweight. I can't imagine Haye being able to withstand one of Wladimir's punches and Wladimir is a great boxer. I just don't think Haye will be able to beat him,"
