It's actually highly amusing to me that there are people out there who think Fat Andy could beat Usyk. The outcome of how that would play out couldn't be anymore obvious. Usyk would Lacy him whilst wearing a blindfold.
This. Usyk comfortably outpoints even the most motivated version of Ruiz. That some on here suggested otherwise is a testament to their bias or inability to judge talent.
Ruiz fast hands wouldn't be able to land vs Usyk. Boxing is back with a masterful boxer finally as world champion.
Did anybody outside of a small minority think any differently? Most sensible boxing fans accepted Usyk was at the very least the 4th best in the division.
Yes, he would. Many were saying Ruiz would be too strong and all of that nonsense. He's also actually a smaller guy than Usyk. He'd get butchered. Usyk would actually thoroughly enjoy battering him up and down.
Ruiz beat him because he had certain advantages over a flat, nervous AJ: faster hands, better chin, mass, engine, confidence, heart, ring IQ. The advantages Ruiz has over AJ are either non-existent or meaningless against Usyk. 120-108 every time.
Ruiz beat AJ because AJ went in for the kill with no regard for defense, he got caught with a great shot which ****ed his balance for the rest of the fight. It's not like Ruiz was great in there. AJ was firmly in control up untill that point
Ruiz was overrated because of the AJ fight. Watch his fights with Parker and recently Arreola, he's skilled but nothing special
