If Ngannou can beat Fury, so can Usyk, AJ, Beterbiev, Ortiz, Ruiz, Hgorvac.

Ngannou’s output was naturally, considerately limited in his first pro outing.

Still, I liked the resulting economical and efficient approach it gave rise to - in the realm of how Joe Louis used to apply himself.

However, Francis’ hands still need to be that much more busy. Now that he has dipped his feet we may see more output against Joshua.

I would think that Ngannou should look to connect well with at least 1 or 2 power shots very early - put AJ on notice, perhaps causing him to clam up and meet Ngannou half way in his intended path to victory.

    Very interesting fight.

I wonder if both Fury and AJ got a measure of shock as to exactly how big Francis is in the flesh.

In a sport where height is often exaggerated, the man is a rock solid, legit 6’4”, all muscle weight.

He wasn’t dropping so much height and essentially next to no reach to Fury.

Faced off with AJ, Francis appeared that much more height comparable again (and wider) and he still has that quiet though confident air about him - as he did prior to the Fury fight.

Francis casually mentioning that he has “heard” that AJ’s chin might not be so solid (and that he will therefore test it) is a subtle, master stroke in the field of mind games.

Lets talk tactics what both will use .

For sure aj and his trainer will take lessons from ngannou,s fury fight and i do not think anthony will go into a wrestling style infight against francis but try too keep the distance and outbox him . I even do not think he will try to ko francis because it appears to be next to impossible to knock down this body and you just risk to gas out in a try .

What will francis do ? Imho he will try to close the distance and in any way he will try to ko joshua since winning on points against aj is not an option for him .

    What do you think ?

Every thing you say is true, but if Francis wins you have to admit it’s a hell of a story, and who would he fight next?

    I want to believe it.
But it's true they won't treat it like a circus fight the way Sugar Hack and Fury did.
It will be harder for the mma fighter to catch him now.
The mma fighter has a better chin and determination, but joshie is better everywhere else, which is why they're doing the fight, believing they have big advantages.
Best case scenario is probably he wobbles the mma fighter and comes to outdo Fury and finish him, then gets a big counter and gets KO'd.

Absolutely it'd be a hell of a story.

Realistically I think it'd be enough of an upset that the best move would quite likely be a rematch... Unusual to say that, especially without belts involved, but it would make sense

Preassure is on Joshua, hard hitter and more expirenced with high stakes combat MMA, faced killers - Miocic, Gane and the crew. Naganou is way more complete fighter than AJ who is sheltered. But MMA aint boxing, Naganou doesnt have the stamina or skill to rival Joshua, being ex champ and gold olympian at that. If this was MMA match, Naganou KO round 1.

Only way Joshua can win is to keep distance, outboxing, moving and winning decision. Naganou cant be KO-ed.

If Joshua goes to to close, to soon - He will get KO-ed.

My take - Naganou KO 3rd round or Joshua decision robbery after boring fight.

    xD

    "Cant be Koed"
    "Joshua win- robbery only/boring fight"

    xD

Hehehe. How many Bull **** like that we read on past. Someone even said he would need robbery to win with Otto Wallin.
    You haters never learn.

And for Your information. Joshua faced many punchers in his carrer. Beat boxers like Whyte, Povetkin (!), Klitschko (!!)
He know how to deal with punching power.

I know You take all chances and fact that Francis is puncher is good reason to talking crap but lets be honest. Joshua is favorite here.
    Big one.

Wake up from that dream where whos make Tyson Fury problems in ring must be genius and brilliant fighter.
    Nope.
Francis is good dude but he even dont deserve to being soo close to number 1 fight. He only looks good vs Fury and that all.
He would lose probably to many boxers from top.

I still cannot understand the continued forum hate and disdain towards Ruiz. Constantly belittled.

    Ruiz hits hard, fact.

He has solid skills, hundreds and hundreds of amateur bouts. Solid resume. Very very fast hands.

Ngannou has the power but he lack the boxing IQ and ability to execute that power as efficiently as someone like Ruiz who has been there and done that 350 times. Literally. Ngannou has only had one boxing fight.

AJ will be a real litmus test because Fury has always had a non-traditional, awkward boxing style with zero pedigree.

AJ is a seasoned, traditional boxer. Olympic Gold Medallist... he will give Ngannou a far better testbed. And I see AJ winning, I think AJ's speed, power, experience and skill will be too much for Ngannou who I still praise highly overall as a fighter.

AJ has a good chin. Not the best, but above average as he been in there with heavy hitters and took their best.

Ngannu boxed far better against Fury than anyone thought he would. Much more controlled and stuck to a game plan. Did anyone think he was going to try and counter punch? But at times he did and did it well.
He's physically very strong, Fury loves to grab hold and walk people around but Frances was able to negate that.

I still think its a silly fight for AJ.... loose and he's back to square one again. He's had 2 rebuild fights and then gone in against someone supposedly top tier and destroyed him. His stock his up his confidence is up. Back in the mix. Lose to a novice and it would be embarrassing and a long way back. Probably end up seeing AJ V Joyce for who's career is over. Rather than AJ Fury or AJ Wilder. I dont think we need to see AJ Usyk 3

Joshua biggest weakness is he struggled with guys with fast hands. Parker, Ruiz, Usyk all have them to some extent and he hasn't impressed against any of them. Even in Ruiz 2 he was getting countered anytime he didnt throw something straight. That fight would have been a lot more interesting and dangerous if Ruiz has come in shape. AJ did what he had to so and boxed and won but didn't overly impress.

A big guy isn't going to intimidate AJ that much and if he can bring those big shots home hopefully he will force a stoppage a bit more is known against Ngannu now but to put pressure on the belt holders AJ needs a big win and it wont be easy.

If Ngannu lands with a shot like he did VS Fury what happens. Fury got up unbothered does AJ hold it as well? Stamina who wins the battle if the fight goes late and every chance it will. Ngannau is combat pro. Different sport but he's done a bit of everything and his boxing ability is far better than he showed in MMA. He's a live under dog. AJ will need to be sharp to win.

Calling a heavyweights 1-2 who has 24 KO's against good opposition silly is a bit of an odd one mind! Fury got to Ngannu once or twice. AJ is a more consistent puncher than Fury.

I agree, he could be better and he could have dome better by taking his diet and conditioning more seriously.

However, I've never it hold him back in a fight per se, not seen him gas or fail to bring the heat. He works hard in every-fight and surprisingly moves around really well. He consistently performs well and shows up.

He got AJ when he was unified champion and a heavy favorite.
