Jones is too dangerous at the moment. The kid will go far.

Yeah I know...But it's just so frustrating sometimes to see this "UNFAIR" bull**** go on throughout the years.

To be honest I never even f***en heard of mike jones or antwone smith, But that doesnt mean there not any good! Im sure canelo would be the favorite going into the fight with either of them!

One of the problems with Jones is that when he does get the fights that he needs.... those step up fights, his opponents pulled out... Larry Mosley had no problem fighting Alvarez in Mexico, but for about a year or so, he couldn't fight Mike Jones.. Everytime it was on the verge, the fight never happened... He had a fight lined up against Richar Gutierrez, not too much time later, he somehow got injured and went on to fight Abregu on ShoBox instead... He ended up with about 2 or 3 replacement opponents before one actually fought him.. Also, Mike Jones is gonna be fighting Irving Garcia which isn't that bad of a step up after seeing what he did against Abregu...

With that said, Alvarez actually has been in with good competition... Seeing that he doesn't have a problem facing tough fighters, 2 fighters that come to mind for him.......

    1. Cosme Rivera.... Tough fighter.... Been in with Judah, Angulo, Hurtado, Julio, and Berto... Good quality step up for Saul... Cosme will give him some trouble and will be fighting from bell to bell... If Alvarez were able to take him out int he way Zab did, it would make him look great~!!

    2. Shamone Alvarez... I was thinking Gianluca Branco because I don't think he's a big puncher... Plus, he's a good opponent at this stage of Alvarez's career... But Shamone seems to be a bit more of a tougher fight, but a winnable fight... He's never been stopped and is there to fight...

Looks like Antwone wasn't ready for that level just yet. It's a shocking result as Alvarez shut Tyner out and I expected Smith to at least win by competitive decision, but he was stopped in 9 rounds.

Canelo and Jones on the other hand looked ready for bigger things. Cuello gave Chavez Jr. hell and many had him earning at least a draw, but Alvarez just ripped him apart, dropping the brave Argentinean both in the 1st and the 2nd rounds before stopping him in the 6th. Canelo has a scary left hook, effective both to the head and the body and is improving other things as well. Jones looked good too, I like his left uppercut a lot, but he hit Garcia with a clear low blow and that sicko ****o Randy Neumann counted him out, what a disgraceful **** that was!

Anyway I'd love to see Jones stepping up and fighting Canelo in a final eliminator or something, it'd be one explosive fight that's for sure!
