Fury needs to win and look good while doing it. Schwarz isn't very good. For example, box rec has him as the 56th best heavyweight in the world. If Schwarz wins, the entire division is a mess at the top. I'm rooting for Scwartz because I think Fury is a bigot and PED cheater. I expect Fury to outmaneuver and out land the slower and sloppy Schwartz, who if he lands has enough power to floor Fury. With Wilder's endless ducking, Joshua exposed by Ruiz jr, and Fury back and in shape for now, I just assume hit the re-set button and let the younger talent on the way up go at it. IMO they are going to be a better lot.
No. If Schwarz won, it would not be the worst heavyweight division in decades. Deontay Wilder is the best heavyweight in the world. He's a very good champion. Wilder is about to make his 10th defense of the WBC title in just over four years - even though he's suffered a couple broken hands and a torn bicep that required surgery. It doesn't really matter what happens to Fury or Joshua. Wilder has more successful defenses than both of them combined. If the lesser heavyweights lose, it's no different than in the 1980s when Holmes reigned for years and the other beltholders switched/dropped titles regularly. You've just been backing the wrong heavyweights, so it seems like dire times.
First of all, he won't win. Second, if he somehow wins by a lucky punch, that will not mean it's the worst heavyweight division in decades.
Schwarz is a complete bum, and the fight against Tyson Fury is a scam on all of boxing. Fury will literally have to carry Schwarz in order for this to not be a 2-3 round embarrassment. The HW division is actually entering a new golden era, and the Ruiz win over AJ has really made it alot more exciting.
Yet the poll here is even. I think this is the weakest the division has been since post larry Holmes losing to mike Spinks and pre Mike Tyson becoming a champion.
