    Canelo ain't a 154 fighter...he is a 160 pound fighter with small legs.

Canelo can be a cruiserweight, Khan would still tax that ass.

Canelo was green and drained against the best fighter of this era. Canelo won't be any of those things against Khan. Canelo already beat fighters better than Khan, who in no shape or form even if he was a natural 160lber is better than Cotto or Lara. He's a smaller version of Vanes Martirosyan with a weaker chin.

I will try and be serious here.

Canelo has beaten better fighters than Khan. Lara, Trout, Cotto.

Khan doesn't really possess the skillset to trouble Canelo. He does have the attributes to be easy work for Canelo however.

Going back to OP's question, if size was a non-factor, and both boxers power was like for like. I think it is closer than others here would think.

If somehow, Khan's camp have got his bulk right. And if he indeed is now 3x stronger and throwing even faster....

Well. All I have to say is that GGG will be coming down to 147 to fight Khan next.

I disagree, if these 3 were active 147 fighters Khan would beat them, Cotto right now at 155 loses to Khan too..

In terms of boxing skills and size aside Khan would be his best win, it is not easy to outbox and beat Khan on points..

Canelo has more skill and power, so he'd knock Khan out anyway.

Cotto 147 minus a couple of years would be a very very tough fight for Khan in my opinion. The other two am more willing to listen to counter arguments.

    I have to admit.

Something is making me root for Khan for May 7th. What a story if he overcomes the size and proves everyone wrong. Winning a Middleweight Belt at his first Junior MW fight :rofl

Especially since Canelo is a spineless ducker of GGG.

Size was a factor, Canelo was near 180 on fight night..

As Khan showed, minus size and weight , Khan showed he CAN outbox Canelo, and if they were the same weight, Khan would of done that for 12 rounds..

Only in rounds 5 and 6 when Khan started to gas carrying the extra weight..

Rounds 1-4 Khan made Canelo miss wildly.. and look bad..

Khan only has enough stamina for 4-5 rounds.

In round 1, Canelo hit Khan between his little combos.

Khan is fast, but he's predictable, and wastes energy with his shoeshine combos.
