solis is disgraceful to lose this fight. the heavyweight division is terrible when a guy like thompson is on the verge of a 3rd heavyweight title fight

first of all Solis won the olympics at heavyweight, Harrison won the olympics at superheavyweight

Not all amateurs make great pro this is true in the case of Harrison ,he also had the tournament of his life at that olympics

And Solis as an amateur was under 200 pounds in great shape dedicated and at his best. And Solis at his best is a very impressive site, but he doesnt have the dedication or the drive to want to make it in the pros

He has talent. That's what makes it worse. I respect hard work over talent any day of the week. It's why Bernard Hopkins is one of my favourite fighters.

Previous Olympic gold champions went on to do great things in the pro ranks. E.g Ali, foreman, Patterson, Lewis, Frazier,

Then why make out him winning a gold medal is a disgrace to the sport?

If your making millions fighting guys that shouldn't be in the ring with you that early in your career, it's going to take affect.

Hopkins started from the bottom, he was fighting for $400 in small hotels, thats why he was successful, he had to work... Thats what motivated him.

Even by Harrison's second fight he looked unmotivated, He turned up at 265 with an afro and looked ****.

Hopkins only started getting real money after the Trinidad fight, that's why he's where he is now.

If you taste the sweet life early the motivation, hunger, bother vanishes.

That's true and he was an improved fighter by then, but it did take him two previous attempts.

Harrison had already beaten Lezin prior to the games iirc.
