If he wants to do that, he can do that on his own terms anyway! And probably for a lot more money, on wich Solis declared is why he's boxing anyway... (at least he's honest about it, unlike some bigmouthed wannabe) Maybe, but that isn't really smart either, because if he wins he would earn so much more!
While Solis doesn't fit the profile at all... He's not in his late 30's He's never been KO'd (certainly not early) He has reasonable punching power He isn't a big name who is far and far past it He already lost to him ... I expect Haye to prefer Solis over Wlad as an opponent, and certainly over Vitali.
I´ve often heard that unifications are more important than mandatories. If (and thats a big if) Solis beats Vitali and it would come to an unification fight, are there rules, which unification (WBA/IBF/WBO) is more important or can the new belt holder decide which champion he wants to take.
Solis would be free to do what he wants for a while. He may not have a mandatory coming up for something like 12 months. So the only "liability" he'd have to honor would be the contract to face Wlad in case Vitali loses. After that he's free to fight whoever until the next mandatory defense around March 2012. And if Solis won against Wlad he could even get around that mandatory if he gets an exception to face the WBA holder, because unification bouts have a higher priority than mandatory defenses.
I think the usual Klitschko slave contract is in play here. So if Solis somehow managed to win he had to fight Wlad and Vitali again. :rofl
Well, so if Vitali loses, so Wlad cannot fight Haye, because Vitali's replacement on Adamek's fight instead of Wlad will be no more possible, because Vitali ain't got the WBC belt and Adamek signed for title shot. Right ?
Yep it was a "amateur stoppage", but it looked like it wouldn't take much longer anyway. While Haye started strong by stunning him in the 1st.
The story going around is that Solis is in camp and training hard , away from distactions. If this is true, consider Vitali is by no means unbeatable , and an inspired Solis could make things tough, or worse, for Vit. I wouldn't bet the house on a Klitchko win.
