Sharkey held his own with a bigger wrestler (the heavyweight champion of America) in a wrestling match.

He was a legit tough guy, no doubt. But when you read the contemporary reports it was as tho he was learning boxing while on the job.

    And he was a midget.

Yo, I don't wanna be a dik or NEthing but ya'll keep misswriting whoever you mean to talk about. Jim Jeffries is a standup comedian. But I notice guys around here trying to talk about old timers are getting confused with that and the singer Jack Johnson? I Dunno but good luck finding out the dude you meant to talk about cuz I don't even know.

No, but if you put 80lbs of fat on (and are physically strong anyway) you'd ragdoll any 150lber

You are mostly right. Though jeffries was reported at 6' 1 & 1/2, I believe credibly. And 200-225 in his prime yes.
Wilder does not have the muscle mass to be as strong-especially no legs. His thighs, listed at 18" is almost freakishly small, not far from a super model.
But you are wrong on his weight. In his lightest fight for years he was 212 & 1/2, but usually is near or well into the 220's.

Are you sure? A few people said similar things in all seriousness.

The water cut thing is real when he was lighter, & 6' 1 & 1/2" is likely right.
He high jumped something over 6'.
But without modern techniques, & on terrible tracks, whatever the numbers are, they are somewhat better than they look.
Usain Bolt with the tracks & shoes of the old days, like any modern athlete, would not approach their best times.
And the specialized & trained in it for years.

He was 6' flat, look at him next to Fitzsimmons:

    https://www.thefightcity.com/wp-con...fries-Fitzsimmons-web-photo-fitz-jeffries.jpg

Same height, Fitz is listed as 5' 11 3/4", and Jeffries is sometimes listed as only 6' flat, so that's what I believe

He was 209 on fight night against Tyson Fury

Jefferies ran 9 miles with a full grown deer on his back.

I grew up in rural parts in the 80's and did all my sprinting on dirt tracks up till 15 or 16. I beat his time when I was 13... and I ain't nothing special.

The strength is debateable, but why do you say Jeffries had more endurance? When did he prove this?
Against 5'8"183 lbs Sharkey who went the distance ,[20 & 25rds,] with him twice. conceding27lbs?
Against 33 years old coming out of retirement Corbett who was conceding30lbs to him and was in front after 23rds?
Against Ruhlin who went the 20rds with him to a draw?
Or against the 167lbs Choynski, who gave up52lbs to him?
If he showed marvellous endurance against these men, what endurance did they in return show?

Johnson went 10rds at the age of 53
He went15rds at the age of 45 against 225lbs Lester
20rds against 203lbsMoran when he was fat and 35 years old.
    20rds v Hart
    20rds v Martin
    20rds v McVey x3
    20rds v Ferguson
    20rds v Gardner
    20rds v Griffin
    20rds v Everett
    20rds v Klondike
26 rds v Willard at the age of 37
I submit that Johnson's endurance and stamina is far more proven than Jeffries!

A common practice among fighters then, Jeffries wasn't unique in this. Jeffries only weighed 220 or more for 4 fights Against no hopers like
Finnegan and Munroe when he did not train seriously, against Grififn which was a no dec exhibition and against Johnson in his comeback.
