I'm not a fan of Crawford by any means, but it's clear as day that he fancies this fight. Arum has released a statement saying they will do a 50/50 show with Showtime. I'm pretty sure if Al Haymon has his way then we will see Spence swerve Crawford, as he has advised Wilder to do with Joshua. If Spence doesn't fight Crawford next then I'm classing it as an official duck. I really thought after beating Brook (outstanding win) that Spence would go on from strength to strength. But he's fought nothing but bums and guys moving up in weight since. He is showing absolutely no ambition what so ever and needs to be his own man and tell Haymon that Crawford is the fight that the fans deserve. Personally I would pick Spence to win, although I hope that Crawford proves me wrong and somehow pulls it out. Thoughts?
Think about it. If they fight another year against a few more guys each, that fight will really build to something big. The same with Wilder and Joshua, although Wilder and Joshua is ready now. I just don't think those two guys are experienced yet for a big superfight. None of the 4 are yet.
Spence is already obligated to fight a unification against Showtime Shawn Porter next. He will get to Crawford in due course and give him that work he is due.
No time soon I don't think , minimum 3 fights away, maybe 3.5, who knows, I certainly don't, but if I hear anything, your the man i'll be talking to first
