Its hard to transfer fighter`s from the 50`s to the 70`s or 80`s, they would have different hairstyles and their clothes would be reacted to in different ways, Robi had that classic Louis Armstrong straight hair flash cat style that made him a dandy back in his day, whereas Leonard`s fro made him look like a young Michael Jackson all that would be turned on it`s head plus Leonard is from more modern times and spoke differently in interviews, he was cocky whereas Robi was classy which would have been out of place in more modern times. I can`t see why Robi would ever be the heel even in the 70`s or 80`s, he was very polite and smooth, a bit like Sidney Poitier. Certainly in the 50`s no way would SRR be the villain his popularity was huge and the respect for his fighting skill was unmatched in any sport, he was seen as Godlike by most fans and pundits, Stars were real heroes back then, they weren`t on twitter like how they are now and fame in the 70`s and 80`s had a magic but nothing like the aura and mystery surrounding celebs in the 50`s aside from Ali and Tyson, Leonard was loved but when Robi was world champ it meant more boxing was far more respected.
