What would he have done differently, if anything? Would the outcome still have been the same?

Steward said he'd liked for cotto to have used his jab more often.

Of course b/c that's ALL Steward tells fighters. He's one dimensional. Cotto would've done much worse with a one-dimensional trainer that doesn't actually train.

That's the best I've seen Cotto defensively by far, he'd have only been worse with Steward there who is a very good trainer but couldn't have done anything better. Cotto fought pretty much a perfect fight, he just wasn't quite good enough.

Agree 100%... Cotto's defense was tight last night. His movement too was nice.

Steward is trying to casually take a shot at Cotto's new trainer here and there... He JUMPED on the opportunity to try and suggest Diaz did not do as good as he would have.

Cotto fought great last night and I was pleased with the fight regardless of the loss.

Cotto has IMO a World Class trainer, his trainer knows his stuff.

Floyd would have stopped him because Cotto would be standing straight up, and leaning back trying to avoid shots. . Once FLoyd found that range where his head would be, he'd land flush right hands till stoppage time came. . . .

It's only effective to be a "straight up" fighter if you are tall. . .

Diaz prepared him better than anybody else could have. . .
