If success as a boxer was solely based on how hard said boxer trained for the bout...

Spot on. Don't know a great deal about Marciano other than his record and a couple of stories my dad told me years ago.

Hard as it is to believe, A -- with all his plaudits -- if Willie Pep spent as much time in the gym as he did in gin mills, God knows what he could've accomplished.

Mayweather is the hardest worker I've ever seen. He works all day long and never tires. Dude's a beast," stated jr. middleweight contender Deandre "The Bull" Latimore, who is currently in Floyd Mayweather's training camp helping him prepare for the September 17th showdown with Victor Ortiz. After working with Mayweather in camp, Latimore is convinced more than ever that Mayweather is the best in the world.

What I saw in camp was far from amazing,” Smith would state following the Mayweather-Mosley bout. “It was unreal the things I had seen this guy do throughout the camp. I have never in my 24-years of boxing witnessed anything like this before. I witnessed Mayweather work out for two to three hours straight, and only taking ten second water breaks - with no bell, no minute rest, and no horse play. In the gym Mayweather is all about his business. I honestly can’t remember a single time throughout the entire camp that I even saw him get tired, and that includes during sparring, and regular workouts.”
