Sweet Pea is far too young for that. How old was he before he got banned? 21?

I like Norris, it's just all of the factors, mainly the weight. Pernell was successful there but when you look at how Hurtado did against him, he used nice fleet footed movement to slide in and out range whilst throwing punches in bunches. Sounds like Terry Norris to me, but Norris is sharper, bigger, more skilled etc. Pea in 95 is better than in 97 though and it means he has a better chance, at the end of the day he is better than Norris but i just think the advantages are in Norris' favour here, because he is a quality operator at the weight. I'd expect some very good rounds for Pea, like the ones he had against Trinidad and Oscar, but not enough.

Norris, much bigger/stronger, quicker, Pea can slip some shots but not the combinations and the jab would find a home to. Pea also had some problems with his quickest opponents, Norris would be the fastest of the lot

I believe Pernell wanted Norris, but after watching Norris destroy Meldrick Taylor...Lou Duva didn't want any part of that match-up. You would have to go with Norris.

I think Pernell would've won. I'm not even sure Norris would've beat Vasquez. He was extremely talented, but he lacked focus, got easily frustrated and had fragile whiskers.
Despite being bigger and having a possible advantage in hand speed, he was never the precision, tactical master that Whitaker was.

He wanted a fight with him though, I think he gets up for Vasquez and dominates him

2 great fighters, Pernell the better but at 154 I've gotta go for for Terry.

Pete didn't look too good against Vasquez if you ask me, and he definitely wasn't in the kind of shape needed to beat Norris, who'd have probably always been a bad matchup for him due to his size/power advantage and the fact that Whitaker didn't have the power to expose his main weakness.

    Vasquez is seriously underrated.

I will pick Whitaker, Norris was bigger and very fast and his suspect chin would not be an issue vs Whitaker since sweet pea was not a big puncher, but either way I still think pea was by far the better fighter of the 2. People thought that McGirt was going to be to big for Pea and we saw what happend there. Whitaker on points.
