I love Pernell Whitaker. He is one of my favorite fighters ever. I became a boxing fan in 1989, and it wasn't long before HBO introduced us. There was a time when Whitaker had more HBO appearances than anyone. I even try to come up with reason to put him in my all time top 10. He never makes it, but I'm still pulling for him. Anyway, Norris would win and it wouldn't have been competitive. Norris wasn't just bigger and stronger, but he was very fast. I'll say Norris UD, but a 3 knock down/mercy stoppage could happen. Whitaker would not go quietly, and Norris may start dropping him if he got too aggressive.
Terrible Terry wins by late stoppage, unless the ref lets Pernell get away with that kneeling to the mat thing he was doing in the Trinidad fight.
Norris of '94 was still in control of his skills and faculties....... Norris takes Perny Whit apart on HBO...... MR.BILL
I agree with you completely, if you wanna know how Terry vs Vasquez fight would have looked like, all you have to do is watch Terry's schooling of Jorge Castro.
Norris would be a nightmare for Pernell. Because once you nullify Norris' suspect chin(Pea had little to no power). Hes pretty much as good an offensive fighter in history.
I finally get to pick t Norris in this fantasy match. Im usually going against him. No way Whittaker wins this Norris would be Sweet Peas Achilles. One of the few style of fighters that Whittaker has trouble with. Norris faster at 154,Stronger,bigger and for once Norris doesnt have to worry about his opponents power. Norris by convincing decision after dropping Pernell once or twice. Norris ud 116-110
