I dont think so. He beat a ring worn RJJ but other than that he holds wins over good but not great fighters. Lets not forget he also lost to RJJ, Johnson, and Hopkins. He should be considered imo, but I wouldnt be quick to vote him in.

I've never cared much for milkdud. However, he is very charismatic and has parlayed that lucky shot against RJJ into a acting and commentating career.

Did Buster Douglas get in for beating Tyson?

Should Tarver get in for beating Roy? Remember, Tarver got beaten by Johnson at tha time also. People wonder if beating the amazing RJJ meant that Tarver was also great - but the loss to Johnson proved 100% that he wasn't, and the victory was only due to RJJ being spent.

So no, beating RJJ should mean nothing.

Should he get in on his current resume? No.

If his resume improves? Yeah, then it can be considered - same as for anyone.

Will his boxing career in the ring, combined with his boxing career outside the ring, get him into the HOF? It could well do.

Scary thing is, Tarver baby is about the same size and weight of a young Joe Louis right now.... If this was 1941 all over again, "Tarver-Green" would've been a heavyweight title fight....... WORD!

Cleaning out the cruiser weight division does not get anyone in the hall of fame. Its a tubby equivalent to cleaning out straw weight.

I think he is pretty much guaranteed entry when you consider his commentary role... That being said, if he got another big win his ride into the hall would probably be smoother...
