Ggg is 33yo and needs to get names on his resume asap. If he takes the step aside $$$ he will deserve to fight tomato cans for the rest of his career.

He should be willing to fight cotto for free a win against him will be a huge win in terms of name recognition and a big investment towards future paydays.

Waiting another 12 months for that fight would be ridiculous.

how about i beat your ass for free, which would be a big investment for your future intelligence. the way you're going with waiting for it to fall out of the sky & into your thick skull is ridiculous.

Ggg will be double ducking if he takes that coin. You can't accuse people of not willing to fight you if you sell out to them.

nonsense, the fact that they're willing to pay proves they'd rather not fight. your post is the opposite of logic.

Cotto is obviously ducking trying to buy ggg out. Ggg will be ducking as well taking the coin. Ggg is the mandatory cotto has to fight him or he will lose his title unless ggg steps aside.

Why would ggg step aside? What is he afraid of. Does he think he will never make the coin cotto is offering otherwise?

Don't be a coward and take the short term coin.

Even if GGG turns downs a deal Cotto still won't fight him...then what?

try doing research before going off, like in the thread i started on this topic last night. per Loeffler, triple G will ONLY take the step-aside if Cotto & Canelo agree the winner must fight him next.

Get his strap and chase the others. Make sure all roads lead to ggg become undisputed. Don't fight scrubs for the next year, force the issue with Cotto. That belt is a huge bargaining chip for Cotto to get a big payday. If he gets his big pay day the belt becomes less of a draw for him. He would probably reneg in the end anyway.

What's he going to have in the contract to stop them reneging. Ggg will lose a year of his prime

i have no idea. possibly a financial penalty or a lawsuit. it's academic about Cotto in this scenario anyway, since the odds of him beating both Geale & Canelo are not good. he's the same practically shot fighter that lost to Trout.
