Cotto could win and retire sure that would stop any clause you can't force a man to fight.

Ggg still loses a prime year waiting for cotto or Canelo even if the fight comes to fruition lose/lose for ggg.

    Don't take the money champ

then he would have to pay roc nation for not completing his 3 fight contract with them on top of paying triple G for breaking that contract. cotto isn't looking to go broke.

If Cotto wanted to avoid GGG, he would just vacate but he isn't. They will push him off for early 2016 if Canelo Clash is victorious.

what a terrible post....Cotto's ducking of GGG is somehow GGG's fault because GGG won't fight him for free.

I don't normally criticize post like this. But this is outrageously awful.

this kid will fight anyone anytime anywhere , people saying hes ducking and cherry picking dont know 5hit , some fights just take a while to make thats all . unifying the division is hugely important to him because that escalates him to super star status and he can start earning the big money .

i am absolutely bemused why people are hating on GGG , he fights at least 3 times as often as anyone else , knocks out everyone , puts on a good show and you all moan like b1tches . i suppose these are all andre "i will send you to sleep with boredom" ward fans doing the hating , dont worry guys he is fighting again soon and you can all get bored to death together .

GGG's team is trying to set it up so they get step aside money and in addition the winner of Cotto-Alvarez(which will be Alvarez) is obligated to face him.

Sounds smart if they can make that happen. A fight against Alvarez is a much bigger deal than fighting against a badly shopworn Cotto.

Both Cotto and Canelo are divas and don't like to be made to do anything. Cotto said it himself when WBC were talking about enforcing a mandatory that they don't tell him what to do. GGG should press for the fight so he can become lineal and get working on unifying the division. He's 33 and can't be holding up his career.

I agree...Cotto will never step into the ring with GGG, he'll cash out losing to Canelo and then step away from boxing. GGG can't wait for Ginger either, I'm guessing he's not too keen on the fight.

Best to just take the belt by force and move on.

He might as well move to 168 his situation at 160 is not getting any better Cotto is never going to fight him and honestly does not need him at this point of his career, how does fighting GGG benefit Cotto I know this fans does not want to hear this but it is what it is Cotto can make much more money fighting Alvarez which is less of a risk, Quillin I think is ducking GGG and he is also an PBC/Al Haymon type fighter

So he might as well move to 168 his power should still be there at 168 since he hits very hard for his division

    Are you stupid or what?
He will make plenty fighting cotto as cotto's mando. Why would he take step aside money so cotto can fight the ginger?

if he takes the money he's a chump not a champ. He's a 33yo not a 25yo up and comer. He can't be waiting in line again he's been waiting too long already.

Take the title by force or wait like a chump and fight cans like he would deserve if he takes the $$$ like a *****.

Neither Cotto nor Canelo want any part of GGG. Cotto knows the Margarito & Pacquaio beatings were horrific enough but to meet GGG would be XXX

So you think ggg should take the $$$ and let cotto keep his title as the champ of 160?

Its a punk move trying to pay ggg off but if ggg accepts it he's a punk as well.
