If Team Pac avoids "slick black" fighters, does Team Floyd avoid "good welters"?

I mean Campbell made the statement. Time will prove it true or false. I have no issue with anything under 135 lbs.

I am saying Nate put the statement out eons ago. Everyone said it was a lie. Manny hit 135, jumped over all the guys at 140 to fight a drained and schooled (Mayweather) DLH. Then went to 140 to fight a previously schooled (Collazo) and knocked out (Mayweather) Hatton. He then jumps back up to catch weight "WW" to fight the most battered (though a warrior) WW champ of them all. Huh?

Somehow he is now the greatest? Come on!

He is great though, but keep it in perspective.

LOL....yo...you know the DLH fight was a WW fight. NOT a catch weight fight! If Hatton was more hype than substance then PAC did what he had to do in devastating fashion....evn better than how Floyd beat the "over hyped" Ricky. So one catch weight isn't even a trend...its not anything b/c it's only one fight.

LOL...Yo...it would be one thing if Floyd didn't have Big faced "C" notes dropin out his ass. The man has all his bills paid...all his cars and homes are paid for!:D His words. Floyd fights more for money than prestige which is fine....but he can't be mad when there are people pulling his card and putting his actions or lack there of on blast.

Zab shouldn't have lost to Baldo but he did. Baldo was the weakest of Champions as was Diaz when PAC faught him! So they both went the route of a "stepping stone" on there way to bigger things....in Floyds case DLH. PAC's case it was the Jr WW division and take it by storm.

The media is rough on Floyd....but that's his own fault. Flyd is hella talented and a great boxer but he is lacking the drive to challenge himself the way PAC is. And the media will continue to rip the man a new one. I don't hate on Floyd......I just know he's capable of more and he should really apply himself and make a great legacy rather than be satisfied with easier fight and how much money he can make off of those easy fight.

P4P doesn't mean crap. P4P is subjective just like a beauty contest or who's number 1 in college football rankings, it doesn't mean a damn thing.

Who the best fighter is is decide in the ring.

I think Nate is just bitter because Pac skipped him! Your telling me a fight with Nate would have done better then the Hatton, I dont think so! That was the perfect move from Pac's camp to expose Hatton.

Once beats the hell out Pac, and he will, then what?

Let me guess, you're still going to hate N-word ass. Some of you guys are so racist.

What is the difference between a catch weight and starving a dude down to a division he hasn't fought at in years? FMJ fought DLH at his REGULAR weight.

The same people who dog Mayweather for not fighting Margarito even though he had a more lucrative and title holding fight in Baldomir all seem to defend Manny fighting washed up Hatton because of "money and prestige". Even though you got Bradley, Holt, and Campbell down at 140.

    It doesn't add up.

Exactly! The truth is that nothing he does is good enough for them. As soon as he is done with Pac, they will discard Pac and move on to the next "Hope". At the end of the day it is just a hate machine using fighters to hopefully knock FMJ off.

It isn't about which fight would "do better" right? Look a the title of the damn thread, "...does Team Floyd avoid "good welters"?"

So you are showing a double standard. When FMJ takes the money fight, he is a ducker. When MP does it, it is common sense? WTF?

You think Manny ain't rich? He is probably relatively richer than FMJ due to the fact he lives in the Phillipines. Difference is they appreciate their stars.

How in the hell can two men share 2 out of 3 common opponents, and be ranked differently? Especially considering the circumstances surrounding MP's wins. It is just crap. Just be honest and say they are haters. They keep talking about crap outside of the ring not in it.

WTF? Challenge himself with FMJ's sloppy seconds? Or Margarito's damaged goods? Please. Manny is still great. I don't take that from him. But why does Manny's success always come at the detriment of Mayweather's?

That is such a silly question. Fighters aren't even in their most dangerous phase by the time you know they are HOFs. They are usually gliding their way out of the sport.

Manny is fine below 135. Nobody can tell me that FMJ wasn't either at the lower weights. Since MP crossed 140 he isn't fighting the most competitive guys.
