It's highly unlikely. The most realistic chance for Jermell or Bud to beat Canelo is by decision. And of the two I think you have to say that Jermell is a bigger puncher than Bud and has more of a chance to land a fight changing punch on Canelo.
I like you're enthusiasm but Bud stopping a drained Spence and a past prime Porter is messing with your brain.
I mean it would be a huge win but I don't think one win alone can make you the goat. I mean you're the one who keeps putting down the Spence win. If his second best win (in this scenario) is a weight drained and inactive Spence like you say then he's too far off from being the goat that not even a Canelo win would bring him there.
Bud has some huge balls to make that fight. I think it's the only fight, that he will be considered as the underdog. And Bud has a chance to become 4 weight undisputed champion, that's just scary
I don't know if that win would make him the GOAT but I do the victory might be the greatest win of all time.
He's not going up to 168 and said so himself in recent interviews. He knows his limits. He may finish at 160 though eventually.
If he goes up and does that, absolutely incredible effort. We should all just give him the credit now, really, because he said he'd do it. This kind of stuff is generational talent. You're either born with this bravery or you're not. Who would have thought a year ago we'd be watching Bud destroy Spence then Canelo one after another. I wonder what's next for him. Maybe Bivol? Beterbiev, even? OLD SKOOL!
