He is on his way to winning the FOTY and has demonstrated exceptional skillset and longevity to be considered one of the all-time greats. He passes the eye-test and has been undisputed champion. Similar to Oscar De La Hoya, he attained the Pound-per-Pound king, but does he now surpassed Oscar De La Hoya in the ATG List. Boxrec ranks him as the 7th best Welterweight just one spot ahead of Oscar.
never use boxrec lists and de la hoya had been fighting p4p stars for over a decade at the same age, across far more weight divisions and better fighters in each. spence wouldnt be in de la hoyas top 5 opponents yet hes so much better than everyone crawford has faced
Not even close resume wise! Bud would have to go up and win at 154 then 160 to eclipse Oscar IMO and even then there would be questions marks as the names / other hof fighters are simply not on the same level as who Oscar fought
No chance, I don’t his resume nearly as high and he still has more to prove. A great fighter nonetheless, but his career is far from done.
