John the Beast Mugabi landed as hard a shot, only with regularity throughout their fight...it went on for eleven rounds. Mugabi gave all he had...Hagler got all that was delivered with felonious intent but in the end fckd Mugabi up as he never had been fckd before by a warrior who was simply the greatest MW of all times.
His record is the most misleading that I've ever seen. From the first time I saw him against cintron. I looked back at his loss to margo and noticed that his body didn't look nothing like it did against cintron. He is simply a guy who filled out a little late. Look at him at 147 against margo. He is small as hell. Think about the shots williams took from Margo at 147 and then look at how he took Martinez's punches in the first fight. Williams was dropped abruptly by martinez in that first fight. No wobbling, just dropped. I know power when I see it and I knew he had power when I first seen him agianst cintron. His power is for real. I would probly give him a B+ for power at 154 and a B at 160. Pretty much what I rate Pac at 147. They both accumilate damage but can knock thier opponent out with a loaded up unseen shot while thier opponent is swinging. As for the question, Of course hagler would have ate that shot and kept coming.
Marvin would have annihilated Sergio. A better comparison would be Sergio vs Calz. Differing as well as some similar attributes and might have made for an interesting tussle. Who you got?
More than just be standing he'd be firing back heavier shots. Hagler was something very, very special. The best of the fab 4 by a bit IMO.
Thank you. People on here always think just because his KO% is low he is not a hard puncher. But Sergio Martinez can punch. At 154 probably the hardest. at 160 one of the hardest.
Nope -- you're dead wrong. Marvin NEVER got hit by wild ass, eyes closed, haymakers. He would not take one, let alone four, and he'd make Martinez pay some heavy dues for getting wild like that.
