I dont see a Young Foreman go to decision with Holyfield. More likely a Holyfield win for KO for wasting of energies by George in the first 6 or 7 rounds like with Ali. The point is: are you sure Holyfields chin could resist for 6 or 7 rounds with that beast? Foreman destroyed early Norton who had many things in common with Holy as to athleticism, chin, stamina and moves.
If Foreman lands many clean hard shots, it might not resist, but I doubt he will ever be able to do that.
IMHO, He beats everyone he fought except Holyfield. My question is, if he beats Morrison, does he get his title shot against Moorer?
If George's chin was that good he wouldn't have been stopped in 7 by Ali and dropped by Ron Lyle. Fact is Old George was more durable because he had adopted the cross arm defence and unlike his younger self had started to pay attention to his opponents offence and so could see the punches coming better, roll with them and take the edge off. OP - Young Foreman likely beats everyone he faced in his comeback except Holyfield who I think stops him
Good question dj. Not sure if Moorer would actually relish taking on young George! I mean, the old rumbling version got him, what does that version that crushed Frazier do???
Holyfield was put on his face by Bowe more than once and was ko'ed by him ,he was knocked out by a fat middleweight,,Toney. Bowe would be a walk in the park compared to George Foreman. Lyle was a crushing puncher, and George got up and ko'ed him. So he got stopped by the greatest heavyweight of all time after Ali exhausted him.?
Moorer was clearly dominating the old version up until that last round when he was dumb enough to stand and trade.
I really sympathize with this...but if Holy goes into Warrior mode he gets stopped by George in 5. Holy on his best day (which was imo the first Bowe fight) got knocked the hell out when he tried going macho man with Bowe....and, though Riddick was a very, very good puncher, he wasn't Foreman. I want to believe Holy outworks George and blows him out after 7 or 8. Prime Foreman knocks the living bejesus out of Morrison, stops Moorer in 1...Schulz, Savarese, and Briggs wouldn't make it 6.
I see young George stopping Evander. It was simply in The Real Deal's nature to get sucked up into a brawl eventually.
