Watching Floyd vs Ortiz I think I could definitely see the reason he wanted no part of Toney. Ortiz didn't land much, but I'll be damned if he didn't throw Mayweather around like a ragdoll when he wanted, and Mayweather avoided quite a few punches in the ropes but he didn't look that comfortable, and didn't look like he could move away (like Pac did against DLH).
If that were prime margarito in there I think he'd go to jail after the fight, and not because he has illegal wraps. There's no way Mayweather avoids Margarito triple uppercuts, vicious body punching, etc. Mayweather doesn't have as much punching power as Cotto so I don't think he could keep Margarito off him, and much like Cotto vs Margarito 1, Floyd would win the beginning rounds, and Margarito slowly gets to him more and more.
Even if Floyd won he would have been in a war that took years off his career. Its Unfortunate we never got to see it.

Mosley - Margarito all over again except no stoppage just a wide UD. Margarito is slow has no skill and blocks punches with his face.

Its a shame that floyd is such a ****in coward because that probably would have been an interesting fight. Margarito's pressure and reach would have definitely gave Mayweather problems, and Margaritos lack of defense would have provided Floyd with oppurtunities to land some stunning combinations....that Tony would eat no doubt. Logic says Floyd wins a decision, but I think the fight would have been pretty competetive with some scary monents for Floyd. Im sure Margarito would have worn Floyd out, and possibly hurt him towards the end of the fight, and no doubt he would be forced to get on his trademark bicycle.

    Shame Floyd has no balls

Floyd vs. Margarito at 154lbs is an intriguing fight if Margarito wins.

U don't know **** about boxing, Margacheato is very slow and limited he made a shot to **** SSM look like he was in his prime. Margo vs Floyd would've looked very similar to Pac vs Margo, SSM vs Margo but with a little PBF vs Gatti, thrown in for the hell of it.

toney isnt going to win 7 rounds out of 12, so he needs a stoppage to win. he aint stopping mayweather, so he aint beating him.

mayweathers physical strength is underrated, he is strong enough to get where he wants on the inside and margo will be backing him on the ropes and missing every single punch and getting elbowed and countered. mayweather dont tire either so margos usual strategy of blocking punches with his face for 8 rounds and hoping the other guy tires out late wont work.

You've probably described a potential Floyd vs Pacquiao match-up as being 'Baldomir 2' before.

    You have, haven't you?

There's a difference between a phenom like pacquiao and a guy who lost to Daniel Santos.
