If the fight went for 15 rounds, what would have been the outcome?

chavez was out boxed last night , was very gun shy and done nothing for 11 and a half rounds , eventually put a bit ov heat on martinez puts him down then all of a sudden he's reedemed himself ..

    a dont fkn think so
chavez jr - the son of a padded record

Martinez wins a UD. Chavez hurt him and Martinez fought back and weathered the storm, chavez then punched himself out. If anything Martinez would have stopped Chavez. Stupid question, **** off and don't return.

The strange thing is after the knockdown and when Chavez threw Martinez down it was Chavez who was doing most of the holding and Martinez fighting back  Chavez wore himself out in the last round

The result of this match was not far from what I expected stylewise. If there were scheduled 15 rounds in spite of 12, maybe the same thing would have happened but with the difference that Chavez Jr would have knocked down Martinez in the very same way but in the 15th round.

Chavez Jr's face was tatooed with all sort of punches and he was largely outlanded like he was against Zbik. Yes, the quality of punch didn't work here cause it would be a roberry against Sergio.

My opinion on the knockdown - Sergio got hurt by the left hook and was pushed to the canvas. This time though he was hurt, not like when he went down in the 6th or 7th round against Pavlik but mostly outa balance. Junior can not demand or even ask politely for a rematch cause he lost in an embarassing way. If it was not for the left hook that did shake Sergio, it would have been a complete shutout and people who lose shutouts, just cause they hurt their opponent once in the entire fight, don't have the right to rematch such as it happened with Shane and Floyd.

chavez went all out start of round 12, cause roach said, you need a KO to win, to be fair to Julio, and respect to him, he nearly done it, it **** me up.

when he said his got the best chin, he wasn't lieing, its made of iron.

if khan had that jaw he'd be p4p #5 lol

just glad everything worked out for the slick Argentine.

Chavez was exhausted and one eye all but closed and the other soon to follow by the end of the 12th. Martinez would have TKO'd him had the fight been scheduled for another 3 rounds.

My god people getting carried away, Martinez could have gave Chavez no chance in the 12th to catch him but he stood and fought till the end. Now chavez fans getting excited and calling for rematch.

Let make one thing clear if Martinez didn't feel like trading last round it would have been a clean 12 round ass whooping.

This. It's moronic to assume that Martinez would have done as much dancing and as little holding as he did through 11 rounds had he know he needed to go through another 4.

Also the possibility Martinez tried to close the show in a big way and left himself open. In a 15 round fight, he would have saved this stupid behaviour for the 15th round.

    ^ this .

But IF this fight would've went 18 or 30 rounds ? :patsch
Regardless how many rounds this fight would've had, Martinez still would've beaten Jr.

Martinez was droped before by Pavlik, Williams and Macklin and he managed to recover and beat them ! :yep:hi:

If it was 15 rounds, Martinez wouldn't have fought that round the way he did.
