Lets say that the General Forum came into existence when Sullivan won the title, and had the same values and debating standards as today.

How would it have reacted to certain key events throughout boxing history?

    Give us your thoughts.

It's impossible to imagine the hysteria surrounding Johnson-Jeffries. Impossible.

    My thoughts.

It causes enough hysteria on the Classic forum today!

Haha, yes it does. But can you imagine the Mendozas of the world reacting to incognito African-Americans who have a way to anonymously express their expectations for Johnson? And then the crazy levels that animosity would reach during Johnson's reign? You would basically have a forum full of McVeys and Mendozas "debating" Johnson v top white contenders night and day.

Then you have Johnson's personal life for the in-between quiet times.

Then things would get complex again, when Johnson was charged under the Mann Act.

Perhaps best for humanity that the General Forum did not exist back then!
