You talking about athletism and a chin has nothing to do athletism. Sorry but the most unathletic **** in the world could very well take an epic beaing.

In regards to balance, Wlad's balance is great, your the only one I've ever heard even imply he didn't have good balance. I challenge you start a thread in regards to that arguement and see how many supporters you find. If your talking about his uppercuts against Peter when Peter was stumbling about the ring, of course your not going to be set to punch when that is happening.

"His speed, explosiveness, and balance" - and his agility level, quickness, and aggregate talent - are not extraordinary at all compared to the most talented men with equivalent size today - though they are not pursuing boxing. His inability to avoid panicking when pressed, his need to hold completely untalented and smaller men in the ring, and his reaction when another pedestrian athlete (Corrie Sanders) lands demonstrates all the deficiencies that one needs to see or know to extrapolate, determine, and distinguish his athletic level from what exists on the planet - in the very best.

As stated, "... larger, better conditioned, and good enough to win in this division in this era which is full of bums, old men, ex-cruisers, and other "C" level athletes."

:patsch This is a crazy question to be honest...Being tall doesnt give you this edge in fighting...Hell, if Valueve wasnt so damn tall would he be a world class boxer, beating everybody thats put in front of him?

there is this misconception that Klitschkos have long reach. At 80" their reach is nothing special for HW. In fact many of their opponents had longer reach.

Like I told that guy above you, start a thread to debate Wlad's natural athletic ability and see what people say. You can believe what your want, but Wlad's natural ability was held in very high esteem when he first started. It wasn't until his chin was exposed that people try making non-sense arguements like he, a world champion, isn't athletically gifted. In regards to Corry Sanders, he had alot of ability in the ring, but was a classic under acheiver.

He is athletically gifted, but he has no chin and his entire style is predicated around protecting it.If he brings that mentality as a 6'3'' fighter, he's done. He can't simply keep every opponent on the outside of his jab, regardless of how weak the division is right now.

Wlad would still be the champion because he'd still hit hard as ****, would still be a smart fighter with very good technique, and would still be a world-class athlete.

The extra few inches of height are icing on the cake. The only major adjustment he'd need to make is that his "octopus" strategy of wearing down guys on the inside wouldn't be quite as effective. His jab and straight right would lose a little, but not nearly enough to make much of a difference when you consider his left hook and uppercut would become slightly more effective to compensate. I don't think a 6'3 Wlad would be much different than the one fighting today, except for being a little more well rounded.

OMG. Another "What if" thread. What if Lebron James were only 6 foot 2? What if Barry Bonds never took roids? What if Mike Tyson never met Robin Givens? How in god's name is anyone to know. At least with the other threads you can give an opinion that is informed by history and experience.

Vitali, maybe, Wladimir, not nearly as successful. His style depends on having a longer reach than his opponents. Take that away, and he's just a chinny fighter with a strong punch.
