which heavyweight would reign today (excluding Lewis)? Would that fighter be a dominant heavyweight for years or would he be toppled after a few defenses?

toppled in a few defences..good question as to who it would be though.

as much as haye is being a dick avoiding the klits right now i think he's the man for the job.

not with the klits around, he isn't. that's why we have this thread.....

and i think he'd be the man to beat in that case.

I, unfortunately, agree. Haye would most likely be the one to beat without the Klits. Sucks for Haye though, cuz the Klits are definitely making him look like a ****ing ****.

I guess the HW belts would be around more different waists than a hookers legs.
I guess the guys to beat would be Toney Thompson, Sam Peter, David Haye and Chagaev, but they also wouldn't rule long if they would face above average competition. Heavyweight would be so much worse than it is now.

The Klitschkos are a disgrace to the division because they fail to give true, pure Euro-level talent a chance. If the Klitschkos were not around, the following undefeated Eurotalents would populate the highest echelons of the division.

    Andrzej Wawrzyk 20-0
    Mariusz Wach 22-0
    Andriy Rudenko 19-0
    Yakup Saglam 26-0
    Lucian Bot 14-0
    Vladimir Tereshkin 13-0
    Murad Khalidov 9-0
    Vyacheslav Glazkov 7-0
    Magomed Abdusalamov 8-0
    Andreas Gustafsson 6-0
    Nikolay Israelyan 6-0
    Krzysztof Zimnoch 5-0
