It didn't happen because Don King didn't want the Klits getting the only strap he had any control over. Infact even when he lost it to Chagaev, he somehow got the WBA to let Valuev and another of his fighters, Ruiz, fight for a vacant title when Chagaev was still champ

I will always maintain Valuev would be one of their easier fights for both K bros, especially for Vitali. Young Valuev who could move a bit would give them a decent fight, but the slow as molasses champion he became would be like training on a punching bag for the bros. People thinking it will be difficult with Valuev being their biggest opponent, wouldn't the Klits have be his biggest opponent? And they'd be alot faster, more mobile, punch alot harder, be much better technically..c'mon, this is Lewis-Grant, only with Valuev being able to absorb a lot more punishment.

For the record, as if you fools didn't already know...............

Valuev was offered his biggest payday by far to fight either Klitschko and Valuev didn't even have a belt anymore. I believe Valuev wanted the fight but Don "Douchebag" King wouldn't allow it because he wasn't done milking his cash cow.

Bottom line: Valuev never made as much as he was offered even when he did have the WBA belt.
