If you like slugfests or great sequels and trilogies...you must have loved Aturo Gatti....
In case you don't know or don't remember, M. Dokes was just considered like a low class contender; Larry Holmes it was said was a boring jabber fighting in a very easy era with no real contestants; Frank Bruno ?? Please he has nothing to brag about comparing to today's top 10 at heavies and Lennox Lewis is an awesome talent but I vividly remember boxing critics qualifying him as a boring, safety first kind of fighter on numerous occasions.....

Today's problem is not necessarily the overall quality of heavies but rather being almost mission impossible to force the best fight the best ! All because of money interests....Why would promoters risk easy millions at home against so-so competition and instead opt for the best available ?

That's the real problem...too much money available for shitty fights which doesn't entice to good ones to be made !!

Back then, less money ment the big bucks came more from the best fighting the best !!!

    Recent HW issues.

    1. WBC taken hostage by Vitali's injuries, Rahman being **** and Maskaev's injuries.
    2. WBO taken hostage by Valuev, Chagaev's injuries and Valuev.
    3. Wlad, technically there's nothing wrong with him, but he gets disrespected anyway.
    4. Return of Holyfield, Bowe and the persistence of Ruiz, Byrd, Golota, Toney and McCline.
    5. No unification fights except W.Klitschko-Ibragimov
