If the klitschko's didn't have such a physical advantage how good would they be?

It's true that they use height, but this comes at a price too.

Generally, taller fighters (not taller, better said gigantic) have poor coordination, are slower. You look at a Primo Carnera or at a Valuev or at a Dimitrenko.

Now, the gimmick here, is having the benefits that come with height and less of the negatives. Like the Klitschkos do. Because Wladimir for example, has some of the best feet in boxing. That is physical blessing, same as handspeed, athletiscism and all that stuff. Which isn't only present at HW level.

I'd argue that the Klitschkos would probably do better than most when stripped of their natural physical gifts, because they're very inteligent and would find something else to base their game on.

240-245 lbs is not the biggest size advantage in today's HW division. 230+ is the norm these days.

They would still be good for these reasons:

    A. Today's Hws can't fight.

    B. On top of not being able to fight these guys can't get into decent shape.

    C. These HWs today aren't willing to get in shape so you know they won't work on their short-commings either and are just unprofessional in general.

I'm not a KlitHugger but they do things 95% of Todays HWs aren't willing to do

When it come to boxing particularly in the Heavyweight division, height, weight and size are just as much a physical attribute as power, speed and chin. You take one away and it changes the dynamic of a fighter.

You can't give Chris Byrd Foreman's power because then he stops being Chris Byrd as we know him.

All I know is Valuev is the biggest champ and therefore the best, because of his size...and maybe because of his notoriously diabolical genius pugilistic mind.
