If the Klitschkos were exciting boxers do you think the HW wouldn't be so poor?

Vitali and Vlad are not boring at all, look at their knockout ratios and compare with Void's! LOL! Void is boring and a coward! Klitschkos are so much better than all the other heavyweights out there that their fights look easy, but it is their skills and conditioning that make them so good. The haters are very jealous. as much as the klits bore me it has nothing to do with them. its the promoters business model that's killing the sport. the old take a guy that shows talent but hasn't proved himself. let him fight stiffs to pad his record to 31 and 0 and then bide their time till a title shot and go for the big money, never really facing a true test, if he loses, **** him! there's plenty more where he came from, and if he wins....yeehaw were off to the bank. and btw, money talks and if they put on a good show hbo wouldnt have stopped showing klitbros fights. greed don't give a **** where you come from if you can make them some bucks.

 

They are exciting fighters. I don't understand what isn't exciting about a guy like Wladimir Klitschko. Puts on a masterful boxing exhibition, steals his opponents heart and will, breaks them down and takes them out. I don't know how any real boxing fan wouldn't enjoy that.

I can definitely see how people who dislike the Klitschkos hate it though. They tune into every fight hoping that he gets knocked out... and for almost 7 years now... Wladimir has been extremely dominant and his opponents haven't had even stood a chance. That would be very frustrating for someone hoping to see him lose. The only way they would find his fight "exciting" is if he gets beat. Hell, his crtics gave him no positive feedback when he absolutely destroyed Ray Austin inside of 2 rounds. That's because they aren't looking for excitement on Wlad's end.... they are looking for excitement from his opponent... in other words... they want it to be Wlad getting knocked out.

Let me ask you something else. What was so masterful about safety-first tennis player Larry Connors when he won one grand-slam after another? What was so masterful about safety-first grandmaster chess player Anatoly Karpov?

Why do people connect mindless aggression in boxing with greatness and defensiveness in boxing as lack of skill? That's so shortsighted.

Well of course. A division with "C" level athletes could ONLY be better if the two guys at the top were exciting and exceptionally talented athletes.

Now, if the entire division was full of "B" and "A" level athletes it would be watched and lauded. But, it is full of "C" level athletes and two "B" level guys with "A" size. The problem is that there are a bunch of "A" level athletes with "A" level size on the planet so few have any interest in watching this level of quality compete in professional boxing. Might as well watch your kids or people in your hometown participate in sports. Without a relationship to those involved no one would give a **** about watching such pedestrian fare.

Perhaps if you come from a homogeneous place or they are your compatriots you could have an interest. Over here, it simply is weak entertainment.

 

Cant blame the Klitchkos. If they were exciting in their work theyd still have the same useless bums infront of them and wed just be watching 2 or 3 rounds of a 1 sided beating instead of 10, 11 or 12.

The only way to make this division exciting is to have more COMPETITIVE fights with boxers who have the energy to move.

I think IF the Klits had a semblance of personalities, and IF they took more risks in the ring, and IF they had real talent to not simply throw slow jabs and clumsy hooks, that the fights wouldn't be as painful to watch as they are today.
