Of course this is conditional on whether it is a real offer but Wilder can get the backing to pay AJ this much, surely he now holds the chips?

Let me know what you think and why?

No, because the A-side is the one who draws the most money. Even if Wilder's side put on the fight, they are relying on Joshua's belt and draw-power to recoup the money.

True but if it’s in America who is bigger AJ or Wilder? You could argue Wilder.

Yeah, I'd say Wilder is slightly bigger in America. But Joshua's popularity in the rest of the world makes up easily IMHO, if it were not for Joshua's three belts and the UK money it would not even do half the revenue IMHO.

Is ''A-side'' short for Alabama side? If so, yes he is definitely the A-side.

To raise 50mill they'll need to sell Alabama. And they'll still be 49.99mill short.

Maybe but if AJ is worth so much then surely they can’t give Wilder some more money and stage in the Uk. That way they make much more otherwise in the US both names will be bring equal amount to Las Vegas or wherever they stage it .

They certainly can give Wilder more money than $12.5 million, that's for sure. That was not even a serious offer. To my knowledge, the Wilder - Joshua business case goes like this:

In the UK it makes a safe $50 million or thereabouts.

In the US, if the big Vegas casinos get behind it, it can make more than that. If not, it does less than in the UK.

I believe Wilder's offer to be genuine which means that the Vegas executives are convinced they can market it in the States, which of course would never happen if Wilder was not American (or Mexican). But I don't think that's enough to be worth the term A-side.

    No.

Wilder is not a draw, and has never headlined a PPV show. They were giving away tickets for Wilder vs Ortiz for a free a full week away from the fight.

Wilder cannot draw $5,000,000 without Joshua, so no, Wilder is still the B side.

If David Price told Wilder he'd give him $200,000,000 , does it mean it's true? Is he the A side?

No, Joshua is breaking world records, massive attendancies, huge nights doing great numbers on PPV in the UK and good numbers globally. Wilder does poor numbers not on PPV in his own country and worse globally. Anthony Joshua is clearly the A side by a massive distance.

Somebody is funding Wilder here, if this offer is for real they know they cant recoup this in one night, they are gambling on Wilder winning and becoming a global mega star himself because he beat the man and is undisputed. Its a lot of money to gamble with cuz if he loses his stock will go down in the US. But it is a winnable fight for him, he can do it. Fair play to who ever that is, Haymon and some other partners no doubt.

Thats if the offer is legit, its a real crazy offer with all that money, a couple of things dont add up to me it just seems a bit fishy.

I saw a video earlier today. Wilder was at an airport, there was a guy following him, a media guy. He was asking him questions. Wilder was alone. There were a few people in the airport.

So as you're expecting, there's going to be people asking for autographs? Nope. There's going to be people taking notice of him, just glancing towards him? Nope. There's talk from people in the background that they saw the heavyweight champion of the world? Nope. Not a word, not an eye, not an autograph in sight. Shows how big Deonkey is in his own country doesn't it.

I bet if Joshua was in the airport he'd have more attention from the public, and there'd be far more media around him. He would have been mobbed in there.

I think Joshua is bigger in the US than Wilder is. I really do.
