If the ref doesn't do a long count on Buster Douglas what's next for Tyson?

    He fights Evander next in June of that year as scheduled. Not sure who would have won

    I don't think that a shorter count would have changed the outcome of the fight.

    Douglas was aware of what was going on around him, and he took a tactical decision to get up on nine.

    Douglas was not going to be denied that night.

    What might have changed, is that Don King might not have tried to overturn the result of the fight.

    In that scenario Douglas might have rematched Tyson, instead of fighting Holyfield.
