If the undisputed Heavyweight champion retires, what next?

    I agree - it'd be worth trying to get to the WBC whilst vacant, because they're the least likely to push their champion into fighting anyone serious.... Which means it's the most likely belg to go out of circulation as it were (ie: without serious mandatories ordered).

    Then again, they could just give him the run-around and then he might wind up waiting longer to get back amongst the belts.

    If one thing is ridiculously clear, IMHO, it's that Joshua is by far, far, far the most proven fighter left standing if both Usyk and Fury exit the scene together... Maybe one of the others can beat him, but on resumes at least you'd have to expect him to dominate for a few years.

    Usyk needs to retire or got back to cruiser before someone lands a homerun on him the night he slows down and ruins his legacy.

    Even if Joshua is the only one left after Usyk and Fury leave the scène, he will he hopelesly exposed by the likes of Zhang and Hrgovic. Just like Ruiz and Usyk did. Total paper tiger.
