That's obviously the one guy who might pose a threat to Tyson but i think Tyson would've been able to come inside. And Wlad has a questionable chin.

Who would he fight? After he beats Pavlik and Wright, what else would be out there?

At least Hearns could go against Mayweather, Cotto, DLH, Margo, Mosley, Cintron, Williams etc...

I'd have Sam Langford. I beat you head clean house at 168 and 175 - and he'd probably come up as far as Cruiser and even Heavy if the right opponent was to be found (a la Jones).

I'd love to see what some of those black murderers row from the 50's would do with a fair shake, guys like Williams, Booker and Burley...

    Nice thread by the way.

So would I - to me, he was just a cut above Marquez and Vazquez at 122 and several levels above Caballero and Ponce De Leon.

No information yet on who he wants to fight, but I really hope it's Valero. The fight would have to be outside of the US though. Still, I'd take him over Valero.

You HOPE it's Valero? No worries for Barrera's health then?

In his prime, ****ing hell, he was a machine, obviously he prolonged his career with his style change, and your right, id take him over Valero at the moment, only because of some of the comments i have read about him, and only seen a few rounds of his fights, although I still think he should call it a day, he has nothing left to prove.

    Sugar Ray Leonard.

I'd love to see how cocky Mayweather would be then.

I obviously would be very nervous for his overall health if he fought the elite again (Pacquiao, Marquez, Guzman, Diaz), but I don't think highly of Valero AT ALL.

He's extremely crude, lacks a good defense, and to be honest, I'm not all that sold on his power. It's taken him past the mid way point of fights to stop the two best guys he's faced and he went life and death with Vicente Mosquera. Barrera is still good enough to beat him.

Barrera is indeed good enough to beat him, and possibly even clean. If you aren't sold on his power you won't agree that this is the case, but for me I hate to see fighters who should be retired in with a serious puncher.
