He would have made a very very good MMA fighter.

Former World Muay Thai Champ at the age of 18 at Middleweight.

Then started Boxing. I can see him doing well at Middleweight in the UFC.

Had a huge heart have a look at both fights at 175 against Adamek.

 

Iron Mike.

Just imagine if MMA would have caught his attention in prison. Better yet, if he never went to prison at all and converted during the mid 90's. If Tyson would have never let his career get away from him and transitioned to MMA.. He could have developed into a top MMA fighter back in the day. I'm certain of it. A dedicated and focused Tyson was one of the most explosive and dangerous champions in the history of combat sport.

 

Problem is that Mark Coleman would have taken him down and headbutted him into Bolivian.

 

Definently.. All those wrestlers. Dan Severn could have messed his **** up too. What I wouldn't give to find out.

To be honest a big, olympic gold medalist like Wladimir might have been something special if he went straight to MMA.

BTW Widdow.. How are you're kids doing this year in wrestling? I'm sure you're youngest has come so far in his first year.

 

They did great. We stopped wrestling at the beginning of April, and they are both playing Baseball right now. Football will be next... then wrestling will pick back up in November. They love all of the sports. People always try to get me to keep wrestling going all year round, but they are just too young for that. They would do it, because they love it... but I am not going to burn them out like that at this age. I like that they enjoy different things too... as well as having time off from all sports in general to just play and have fun.

I coach all three sports as well, so it keeps me busy.

 

According to the fighters themselves - Zab Judah, Roy Jones jr, and David Haye all claim to have martial arts experience. I would love to have seen them as mixed martial artists. In the past - legends like Jack Dempsey and Willie Pep practiced jujitsu. I would love to have seen them in the ring as well. And from the pro-wrestling world I would like to have seen the Undertaker as a mixed martial artist. He is a big, strong guy with a lot of heart and a keen interest in the art of fighting. He would have made an intimidating heavyweight fighter.

That's interesting about Dempsey and Pep. How could I have mentioned Tyson and not Dempsey? What a beast.

 

Shannon "the cannon" Briggs would have some mean stand up in MMA. He is also athletic and explosive. He probably picked the wromg sport although he has achieved a lot in boxing. With grappling and ju jitsu he could have been a beast in MMA.
