all of these belts make me sick to my stomach. at least in the UFC there is only one recognized champ in each division. how can boxing have luck creating new real deal superstars with so many different champs. this pretty much lets fighters get away with ducking top opposition. if there were only one world title, fighters would have no choice but to fight the best or else be a nobody. like all competitve sports should be.

i also wouldnt mind there being two world titles, to make things interesting and build up super fights.

anyway, lets get back to the question. if there were only one World title per division, Which fighters would hold that title right now?

Heavyweight- Wlad Klitschko. No question really.

Cruiserweight- I'm going to pick Hernandez over Huck here.

    Light Heavyweight- Dawson

    Super Middleweight- Ward

    Middleweight- Martinez

Light Middleweight- Very very difficult to pick. Mayweather?

    Welterweight- Mayweather

    Light Welterweight- Bradley

Lightweight- Again difficult prob JMM if he were fighting there but he isn't so demarco or burns

    Super featherweight- Broner

Featherweight- Gamboa- I wish he'd smash in Chris John- Mayweather got so much flak for not supposedly not fighting the best opposition- what about Chris John?

Super bantamweight- Donaire but I can see good arguments being made here for rigo

The UFC is only one sanctioning body. Though it's nice that they don't have a diamond chamo, silver champ, world champ, interim champ, emeritus champ, champ in recess, and super champ per division. I enjoy that

Anyhow, assuming they all fought each other:

    200+: Vitali
    200: Haye
    175: Ward
    168: Ward
    160: Golovkin
    154: Floyd
    147: Floyd
    140: JMM
    135: Rios
    130: Gamboa
    126: Gamboa
    122: Rigondeaux
    118: Moreno
    115: Don't know
    112: Don't know
    108: Gonzalez
    105: Joyi
